Driver’s Seat

Step 5.1

Press the three larger holes of the Left Seatback Inner firmly down over the matching tall posts of the Left Seatback Rear.

The long tab of the Left Seatback Inner should be facing away from the Left Seatback Rear, as shown:

Step 5.2

Begin securing the Left Seatback Inner to the Left Seatback Rear with two (2) PS05 screws in these holes:

Finish securing the Left Seatback Inner to the Left Seatback Rear with two (2) more PS05 screws in these holes:

Step 5.4

Press the three pins on the back of the Left Seatback Cushion into the matching posts of the Left Seatback Rear, as shown:

The long tab of the Left Seatback Inner should barely poke through the slot in the Left Seatback Cushion. On a normal mustang of the time, this part was typically chrome. However, on all the Eleanor pictures I have seen, the seats do not have it. This may be why it was painted black:

Thoughts


There was not much to do in this kit, but we do have the beginnings of our first seat! Store this assembly safely until we need it again in Kit 14.
