Rear Left External Rim and Tire
Step 31.1
Start by soaking the Tire in hot water (+167°F or 75°C). It should sit for at least two (2) minutes.
Hot water can cause burn your skin, so be careful here. This water will soften the rubber Tire for easier installation in Step 31.6:
Step 31.2
As before, I hit the tip of the silver valve stem on this External Rim Ring with my Black Sharpie to make it look like it had a tiny cap on it:
Retrieve your Rim Parts assembly from the previous kit. Fit the External Rim Ring to the assembly, aligning the screw holes as shown:
Steps 31.3-31.5
Secure these parts together with three (3) DS02 screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Step 31.6
Remove the Tire from the hot water and stretch it over the wheel assembly until the tire ‘beads’ are fully seated on both sides.
Use tweezers, fork, or similar tool to extract the Tire from the water, we don’t want to burn ourselves. While the Tire is hot and soft, it is easier to stretch it over the wheel assembly:
Be sure to align the tread pattern of the Tire to the wheel correctly, as shown:
Step 31.7
Retrieve your Chassis assembly from Kit 29. Fit this wheel assembly over the rear Left Brake Disc Exterior.
As you install the wheel, line up this tab inside the wheel to the matching slot of the Left Brake Disc Exterior, as shown:
Step 31.8
Secure the Rear Left Wheel assembly to the Rear Axle with one (1) PS08 screw:
Step 31.9
Retrieve your Center Cap from the previous kit and fit it into the center of the wheel:
Thoughts
This wheel, which has to support the weight of the car, is mounted into a plastic axle. That just boggles my mind!

Eaglemoss went out of business. However, there is work being done by PCT/IXO to resume many of their partwork builds. You can find the latest information I have here: EAGLEMOSS UPDATE.
