Anti-Sway Bar Brackets and Steering Gear

Step 45.1

Retrieve your Front Wheel and Steering assembly from the previous kit. Slide the post at the end of the Pitman Arm over the central post of the Center Link.

The narrow end of the Pitman Arm eyelet should face the Center Link, as shown:

Step 45.2

Secure the Pitman Arm to the Center Link with one (1) DS04 screw.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 45.3

Retrieve your Chassis assembly from Kit 43 and carefully turn it over. Fit the Steering Gear into the matching slot at this location on the Front Chassis, as shown.

Remember to take care not to rest the upside-down Chassis on the Wheel Housings from the last kit as they can be easily damaged! Also, this Steering Gear as it is plastic and we don’t want to bend or break the long pin part of it, so be gentle here:

Step 45.4

Secure the Steering Gear to the Front Chassis from the other side with one (1) PS05 screw:

Step 45.5

Fit the Left Anti-Sway Bracket to this keyed location on the underside of the Front Chassis, as shown:

Step 45.6

Secure the Left Anti-Sway Bracket to the Front Chassis from the other side with one (1) DS02 screw:

Step 45.7

In the same way, fit the Right Anti-Sway Bracket to this keyed location on the underside of the Front Chassis, as shown:

Step 45.8

Secure the Right Anti-Sway Bracket to the Front Chassis from the other side with one (1) DS02 screw:
