Build

Rear Floor and Front Seat Belts

Step 55.1

Press the tab and peg of the Left Side Belt Clip into this slot and hole of the Rear Floor, as shown.

The two Belt Clips are not the same. You can only tell them apart by their shapes:

These clips are designed to just be a press-fit – just align the slot and the peg and press them into place. There are two slots near each other here, you want to use the one closer to the center of the floor:

Make sure you get the tab and peg fully seated so the Belt Clip is flush with the floor:

Step 55.2

In the same way, press the tab and peg of the Right Side Belt Clip into the slot and hole on opposite side of the Rear Floor, as shown:

Step 55.3

Retrieve your Front Floor assembly from the previous kit and fit this Rear Floor under the back edge, aligning the screw holes as shown:

Step 55.4

Secure the Rear Floor to the Front Floor from below using four (4) PS05 screws.

When securing these parts together, also make sure the center tab of the Rear Floor (with hole in it) is pressed onto this peg (arrow below):

Step 55.5

Both of these Seat Belts are the same, so you can use either one here. If they are a bit wrinkled or creased, try pulling them between your finger and something with a firm corner, like the edge of the cutting mat, to smooth them out:

NOTE: I will be referring to these Seat Belts by the ‘button’ side so can be installed correctly. These are the ‘buttons’ I am referring to:

Slide the metal tab of the Seat Belt Driver down through this slot in the Rear Floor.

To know which way to insert the metal tab, make sure the ‘button’ side of the Seat Belt is facing the right side of the Rear Floor. You may also find this step to be easier if you use some tweezers:

Step 55.6

On the underside of the Rear Floor, press the hole in the metal tab of the Seat Belt down onto this pin.

I used a drop of super glue on the pin to keep this metal tab securely in place:

After you press the metal tab onto the pin, pull the slack of the Seat Belt back up through the floor:

Step 55.7

In the same way, slide the metal tab of the Seat Belt Passenger down through this opposite slot in the Rear Floor.

This time, the ‘button’ side of the Seat Belt should face the left side of the Rear Floor:

Step 55.8

Once again, press the hole in the metal tab of the Seat Belt down onto this nearby pin.

I used a drop of super glue here as well:

Step 55.9

Retrieve your Left Seat assembly from Kit 14. Fit the two posts on the bottom of the seat into the matching holes at this location on floor.

Make sure the Seat Belts do not get caught under the seat:

Step 55.10

Secure the Left Seat into place from below with two (2) PS05 screws:

Step 55.11

Retrieve your Right Seat assembly from Kit 23. In the same way as the previous seat, Fit the two posts on the bottom of the seat into the matching holes at this opposite location on the floor.

Again, make sure the Seat Belts do not get caught under the seat:

Step 54.12

Secure the Right Seat into place from below with two (2) PS05 screws:

Step 54.13

(Optional) Slide the buckle of the Seat Belt Driver onto the tab on the end of the Left Side Belt Clip, as shown.

These buckles only loosely slide into place. If you want a permanent hold, use a drop of super glue on the tab:

Step 54.14

(Optional) Slide the buckle of the Seat Belt Passenger onto the tab on the end of the Right Side Belt Clip, as shown:

Thoughts

Not only did our Interior assembly grow larger, but our front seats and lap belts are now installed! As with the Front Floor, this Rear Floor is already pre-carpeted which makes me very grateful.
