“In this phase you will install the lower right rear trim panel to the chassis of your Eleanor Mustang model.“

The assembly in this kit will be nearly identical to the steps in Kit 59, but on the other side of the car.

Lower Right Rear Trim Panel

Step 64.1

Fit the post of the Courtesy Light into this matching hole of the Lower Right Rear Trim Panel, as shown:

Secure this Light into place from the other side with one (1) PS05 screw:

Fit the post of the Rear Seat Back Latch into this matching hole of the Lower Right Rear Trim Panel, aligning it into the recess as shown.

Take care not to damage the small silver pin on this Latch:

Secure this Latch into place from the other side with one (1) PS05 screw:

Retrieve your Interior assembly from Kit 61 and carefully turn it upside down. Fit this Rear Trim Panel to the left rear corner of the Interior, aligning the three mounting tabs to the relevant posts. Then, secure the Trim Panel to the Interior with three (3) PS05 screws.

Since I had the next kit (Kit 65) available, I found it easier to assemble and attach that Upper Right Rear Trim Panel assembly to this Lower Right Rear Trim Panel before mounting the entire section to the Interior. Therefore, I will show how this is done when we complete the next kit.

Thoughts

We have done this process before so it should feel very familiar. Let’s get this assembly attached to the Interior in the next kit.
