Front Support and Wiring Tabs

Step 95.1

Retrieve your Body assembly from the previous kit. Fit the Front Nose Support to the Chassis Front Support Panel, aligning the screw holes as shown:

Step 95.2

Secure this Support into place with two (2) DS06 screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 95.3

Retrieve your Front Face (Bumper) assembly from Kit 4 and place it in front of the Body assembly:

Route the two Headlight LED plugs back through these holes of the Chassis Front Support Panel, as shown.

To keep the Headlight LED wiring out of the way during assembly, I routed the cables on each side around these posts before feeding the plug through the hole in the Support Panel:

As you pull the Headlight LED cables through the Support Panel, gently fit the Front Face into position on the front of the Body assembly.

You may find this process easier if the Hood is opened slightly:

Steps 95.4-95.5

While holding the Front Face in place, carefully turn the entire model upside down on a soft surface. Then, secure the Front Face to the Chassis Front Support Panel from the inside with four (4) DS02 screws:

Step 95.6

Route the right-side Headlight LED along this groove inside the Fender, as shown. Cover the cable with two Wiring Tabs by pressing their holes down onto the matching pins:

Step 95.7

In the same way, route the left-side Headlight LED along this groove inside the other Fender, as shown. Cover the cable with two Wiring Tabs by pressing their holes down onto the matching pins:

To secure these wires even further, I used small piece of electrical tape along both sides:

Thoughts

Wow, installing the Front Face (Bumper) instantly gives our Body assembly a whole new look. It feels our Eleanor is slowly coming to life!
